Gemini Enterprise, Gemini for Workspace, and Vertex AI are enterprise and cloud-model alternatives for organizations in the Google ecosystem.
Privacy model
Google says Gemini Enterprise prompts, outputs, and enterprise data are not used to train Google or other customers’ models. Its Workspace material says enterprise usage is not reviewed by humans or used for training without permission.
Vertex AI documents Zero Data Retention controls, but the exact route still matters. Abuse monitoring, web grounding, Maps or Search grounding, caching, and connectors can introduce their own handling and retention. Consumer and experimental Gemini products use different terms.
Lesson for the venture
A buyer needs a connector and permission review, not a single checkmark beside “Gemini.” The workbench can make every grounding, tool, document, and remote route visible before sensitive content leaves local processing. Private AI routing provides the design rule.
