Kränkande fotografering
Kränkande fotografering is the offence in chapter 4, section 6a of the Swedish Penal Code. It covers secretly making an image of someone with a technical aid when the person is inside a home, toilet, changing room, or a similar private space.
The provision contains an exception when the act is justifiable in light of its purpose and the surrounding circumstances. That is a contextual legal assessment, not a general permission for evidence gathering. The offence also does not cover every unwanted image made in public; other privacy, harassment, data-protection, or dissemination rules may still matter.
