Redact.dev official product and policy pages
This source card preserves Redact.dev’s product architecture, privacy policy, terms, and pricing as rendered on 16 July 2026.
The company describes the social-media client as a modified browser running on the customer’s device. It says credentials, content, deletion actions, and optional archives remain local, while its servers receive account and subscription information and anonymized diagnostics.
The policy describes different boundaries for data-broker removal and exposure scanning. Those features may temporarily process identity data, confirmation email, queries, or results through Redact or third-party infrastructure.
The terms place material operational limits on the product. They warn that a deletion may remove too much, fail to remove everything, or be reported as complete when it was not complete. They also require the user to check whether automated use is permitted by each target platform and to create an independent backup before deletion.
These are company statements rather than an independent audit. The pages do not provide source code, a current third-party security assessment, or evidence that diagnostic fields are anonymous in every integration.
