Cryptomator

Cryptomator

Cryptomator is an open-source client-side encryption tool for files stored with ordinary cloud providers. It encrypts file contents and names locally and presents an unlocked vault as a virtual drive.

Its security target explicitly excludes a compromised endpoint, local plaintext copies, and some metadata such as file sizes and timestamps. The cloud provider boundary is reduced, but endpoint security, password strength, backup design, and application behavior still matter.

Swedish and EU privacy suppliers treats Cryptomator as a possible European digital lead. Any resale or voucher arrangement requires direct permission rather than inference from a third-party catalog.
