Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten’s standing guidance to the public on what it will do with a complaint against a search service holding a publication certificate. The preserved page (raw response) was captured 2026-07-28 and carries a 13 March 2026 update date.

What it says

IMY is running supervision against four services — lexbase.se (Legal Newsdesk Sweden AB), krimfup.se (Fuplex AB), upplysning.se (Upplysning Checknode AB), and mrkoll.se (Nusvar AB) — and states that because it is examining those companies’ processing inside those proceedings,

Individuals may still file, but a complaint touching a matter already under supervision is closed without investigation. A closure decision can be appealed. IMY directs affected people to follow the supervision status pages or subscribe to its releases for the outcome.

Why it is the decisive artifact

The page is administrative housekeeping in form and a substantive answer in effect. It establishes that the ordinary individual route against exactly the services people complain about most is closed for the duration of the collective review, which is what makes the practical remedy question in Will Swedish people-search services survive GDPR enforcement answerable in the negative for now even though the doctrinal question moved the other way.

Note the split in what IMY is examining. For lexbase.se and krimfup.se the subject is publication itself — whether searchable databases of criminal judgments breach the GDPR. For upplysning.se and mrkoll.se it is the narrower failure to erase on request. The two lines can resolve differently, and only the first would settle whether the services can exist.
