IVPN is a Gibraltar-based VPN provider that emphasizes minimal accounts, open-source clients, and privacy-oriented payment options. Gibraltar is European but is not an EU member, which matters when geographic origin is part of a sales claim.

The ordinary account and payment model should be distinguished from IVPN Unlinked Access, which explores a design for separating service entitlement from the provider’s normal account relationship.

IVPN now also develops and operates Portmaster and SPN. That adds a local application firewall, network visibility, and per-connection onion routing to the company’s product surface.
