Obscura is a network-privacy service built around a two-party relay design. The design aims to separate the party that authenticates the subscriber from the infrastructure that sees destination-facing traffic.

Separation reduces the information available to either ordinary participant, but it is not equivalent to perfect unlinkability. Timing, traffic shape, endpoint compromise, collusion, and operational mistakes remain relevant.
