Rättegångsbalk
The Swedish Code of Judicial Procedure, SFS 1942:740, governs investigation, coercive measures, evidence, trial, appeal, and reopening. The rendered snapshot and raw response preserve the official text available on 13 July 2026.
The provisions most relevant to this research are chapters 24 and 27. Chapter 24 sets a defeasible nine-month cap on continuous remand before charge, because a court may permit a longer period for exceptional reasons, and governs restrictions on outside contact. Chapter 27 governs seizure, copying, search of readable information systems, and compelled biometric unlocking. It does not require a suspect to state a PIN or password.
Because this is a dated snapshot of a living statute, current legal work must verify later amendments. It grounds Swedish remand detention and restrictions and Mobile-device extraction and evidentiary selection.
